Situation Resolved
**Update: Thanks Ladies for the comfort! I just received some good news from my dad. It turned out the manager who informed him of the dismissal was actually the asst manager (son of the manager). The managers didn't think the review was serious or felt it could hinder the restaurant's reputation. Last time I checked the site, she went so far as to contact S&W's mgmt so their waitstaff would get reprimanded (you've got to be kidding me??!!) However, S&W blocked out their message forum so she can't leave personal comments on the site. This whole fiasco caused my father a full day suspension for the trouble it caused to the restaurant. At least, he still has his job! I'm so relieved to hear everything is ok. ![]()
My father just lost his job last night after 15 years with a well-known and prominent chain- S&W. It happened with a snobbish brat, a self-proclaimed food critic on yelp.com. The managers read her review and thought it would damage their reputation of the restaurant. The idiot had the audacity to repeatedly mention my father's name over and over again on the review. I can understand if it was over problems or issues with the restaurant itself since the economy has gotten worse with the layoffs.
In this case it was over a stupid college kid who happened to wander off to places she can't afford during restaurant week and decides to tune her BS skills of critiquing about food. She compared an upscale restaurant such as S&W to AppleBee's. Clearly, this shows she has no knowledge of steaks. Anyone that is a die hard steak fan or appreciates steakhouses knows that AppleBee's is incomparable to the quality of an upscale restaurant.
And, to add further insult, she continued to degrade and demean my father's work ethics and services and how disgusted she is with the restaurant.
People like her has no business of being there to begin with esp if they can't afford to dine in upscale restaurants. She was expecting a five star treatment from S&W. When she realized, they treated her like a nifty customer on a college budget, she decided to go an extra mile to ridicule the waitstaff and food. We're talking about a college girl of Chinese origin that expected to be catered by a white server since she stated she felt discriminated being shoved an Asian waiter when a majority of the waitstaff in that restaurant are Asians. And she added 'He was Chinese or of Chinese origin.' First of all, my dad is Mongolian. That's how retarded she is for attacking my father when she doesn't know anything about him. What a moron! I don't even understand how yelp.com is considered a reputable resource for reviews. It's similar to face book where snobbish college kids go on and pretend they know everything about restaurants. It's not like it's a world renown site like Zagat.**Note: If any ladies have dined during Restaurant week, you would observe the hectic pace with the service during that time of year. ***
My father brought his house about four years ago and depends heavily on his job to pay off the mortgage. I have two siblings that just started high school. This is what I hate so much about people liker her, wannabe critics who don't realize what they do to hard working individuals with families and a life.
This is completely outrageous and absurd!! I'm sorry ladies, I just have to vent b/c I'm so upset right now and I don't know how to comfort my younger siblings....![]()
