Re: Ski resort
If you want to stay somewhere you should go to Vermont, Hunter Mtn is nice but just to spend the day. But Vermont is great, actually we're going there this weekend for romantic getaway, we stay at this Bed & Breakfast called The Governor's Inn and is right next to Okemo Mtn. FM me if you need more info.

Re: Ski resort
I'm going to take lots of pictures this weekend and will post them here. Okemo Mtn is a great mountain for skiing or snowboarding and the town is really cute. I love it there!

Re: Ski resort
There is a resort near Belaire mountain called Emerson and it is very nice and romantic. if you are willing to travel further there are a ton of nice hotels, resorts, B&B's in North Conway NH as well as 3 good ski areas. And a ton to do!

Re: Ski resort
definitely vermont. I did a house in okemo for 3 years in a row.
also, if you don't want to go as far, you can do Jiminy Peak or Butternut in the Berkshires. LOVE the Berkshires - smaller mountains so very good to learn on.

Bellaire is a good mountain if you're new to ski or snowboard. The trails are pretty easy and it's a small mountain so it makes it easy for learning.

Re: Ski resort
I went to Bromley in VT once...not too too far and a smaller mtn. I stayed on the bunny hill which was a pretty long one! Stay away from Hunter or Windam, they are so busy and very icy (usually)
