Smooth Away hair remover review for all who are interested

I mentioned a few days ago that I bought the smooth away hair removal system at bbb. I tried it on my upper lip and it worked ok, took a little while but did the job. I tried it on my arms last night and it worked really well!! Again it takes a while and you are basically 'sanding' the hair off your arms, but it works. I had no irritation from it and no bumps/itchy arms like I do with nair or any cream I've used ... very smooth! I will be using this on my arms from now on. I will still shave my legs because it's easier and faster, but for the arms, this works very well!

My sister tried it on her upper lip and it looked like someone punched her. It was horrible! Hope it works for the rest of you.

I had no trouble on my upper lip -- you aren't supposed to use it if you have cream on (moisturizer, etc), maybe she had something on? Or pressed too hard?

Yeah it takes some time - each arm took me about 10 mins and I only did up to the bicep (halfway between elbow and shoulder basically) but I did it while watching tv on the couch. Much better than the cream ... I couldn't do anything when both my arms were covered in that stuff!

how long does it take for the hair to grow back? The way the thing looks, it seems like it doesnt remove the whole hair follicle, like it doesnt pull out the whole root, same with nair, shaving and all that. So im curious if it will grow back fast

yeah, it's probably no different than shaving. for me, that's ok. the hair on my arms only bothers me when it gets long - for some reason, it doesn't STOP and when I was younger, before i started nair-ing, I had hairs that were like 3 inches long!!! Weird I know. Most people's arm hair would stop growing, some of mine - only a few - didn't. (I wasn't a freak with long hair all over my arms )But a little hair doesn't bother me - usually I would nair once a month - so if I have to buff it off once a month, that's fine with me.

My sister used to take one of those long butane lighters and BURN the hair off her arms. It didn't hurt (it did smell though ) and after a while, it stopped growing! I tried it once and it felt too strange for me.

Nah - I am a wimp Plus I don't want to have to spend MORE money on another personal hygiene thing, you know? Trying to save as much money as I can. The at home things work best for me! I might try the at-home wax kits for my bikini, though, for summer.

yeah true that can probably get pricey, my mom does it professionally so i always have her do it for free, if i had to pay for all my waxing then i probably wouldnt do it as much lol. My mom does it for me at home. The arms though dont hurt ill say, other parts hurt but when waxing the arms im calm and relaxed through the whole thing
