so -- do I kill DH now??

DH lost his wedding ring last night while cleaning off his car. I have been putting a 'brave' face on it when I really want to scream at him! How can you not know when it falls off your hand??

I'll order a new one eventually I guess... but what can I do to make the new ring as special as the one I put on him 'that day'??

ACK!! I just want to explode!

Thanks for listening!

Sorry, to hear about the ring.

I get so frustrated when DH takes his ring off to sleep...or near the sink. It drives me nuts. I can only imagine how you are feeling.

You could always get your ring blessed by your priest, rabbi, or minister. JMO

Feel better

i have been known to look down at my hand to make sure my rings are still on because i tend to not 'feel' them anymore...

i get myself into a mini panic and then realize they are still there

My DH lost his ring at a Jets game in December and I asked the same question! How can he not know it falls off?? I was really upset it was not going to be the ring that was blessed and we considered going back to our officiant to ask him to bless the new ring we bought him again, but decided to go to a place that was special to the two of us and have a little 'ceremony' of sorts. It was actually really nice and emotional.

Good luck - I know it is upsetting.

I am so sorry that he lost his ring!

ETA: where was he cleaning off the car? Maybe when the snow melts you'll still find it?

Yep, he lost it, 5 times, we found it. Finally he lost it for the last time and had to get a new one. I told him if he loses this one, I will have him tattoed. Men aren't used to wearing rings.

Thanks for all the good thoughts ladies!

He was at his friends house in Whitestone. So while it may show up during the spring thaw - I don't have my hopes up.

Going somewhere special and reciting our vows to each other may be just the thing. Thanks for the idea.

I think that's an awesome idea! I feel so bad for you!

DH is going to end up loosing his one day. He doesn't wear it enough to get used to it on his finger. It drives me crazy that he takes it off as soon as he gets home. Depending on what he is doing at work on a specific day, he may not even wear it there. One day I hid it on him which was mean, but I thought would teach him a lesson. It didn't

My husband likes to play with his in places that he's sure to lose it - like the subway. I know I will be in your shoes one day soon and that it'll be really hard not to be mad... Hopefully something good will take your mind off of it soon!

Mine was playing with his ring at home once and it fell into the heating/a/c vents. We were lucky to be able to fish it out with a hanger contraption we made! I was PO'ed!

That happened to my DH too! We were doing some work outside our house last fall and it must have slipped off his finger. I was so upset- we searched for 3 hours outside.

It was engraved too.

I ended up getting him a cheaper plain band but didn't engrave it. Once in a while I see him taking the ring up and playing with it in his hand- I get so annoyed!!

I hope you guys find the ring.

What is up with that? Mine kept sliding his on and off during a Giants game. He thought it was funny that I was getting so mad
