Tomo I'm going to Staten Island University Hospital to fill out some new hire paperwork and get my physical so that I can start residency in June!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sooooooooo excited!!! Can you believe it? In just a few months I'm going to be working as a Doctor!!!! I'm going to be taking care of people and hopefully save some lives!!!
I've been looking forward to this moment for so many years, I can't believe it's finally here!

Not a stupid question at all sweetie. I'm doing 3 years of Internal Medicine Residency and then I'll have to do 3+ years in a Fellowship of my choosing. I'm leaning towards cardiology

SIUH is actually part of NSLIJ health system (I am an RN for them on LI, but will most likely transfer to SI since I live in NJ now)....be nice to the nurses no matter how tired you are or how lame you 'think' their concerns are...trust me Good luck to you! Maybe I'll see you around one day!

Thanks girls. Today was one LONG day. But I got fitted for my white coat today - what a rush!!!!!!!!!! As med students, you wear a short white coat and I've been dreaming about the day I get to wear a long one as a doctor....well I got measure for it today and got sooooooooooooo excited. I hugged the lady in the linen closet
