So Excited!!!! Update Below!!

Tonight we are off to Tao and to see Cirque De Soleils's Jungle Fantasy on Broadway with my Best Friend and her Fiance who are getting married NEXT Thursday the 3rd!!!

Hi Ladies...

Last night was an event... I had a severe 'blonde moment' as my dear husband likes to call my moments of utter stupidity!!! No offense my gorgeous blonde ladies.. Get mad at my husband for that!!!

So, Dinner at Tao was delish... we got to our reservation an hour late bc my best friend and her fiance don't know how to be on time.. but they sat us right away so it worked out..

I had the wasabi crusted filet mignon.. omg.. it melted in my mouth it was so good!!! DH had shrimp and that was good over garlic string beans and rice.. Stella had the Peking Duck which I have to say was so tender and delicious.. I love the hoison sauce to dip it in.. and Dan had Kobe beef which I never had but it was yummy!!

So this is where I am an idiot.. we get to the show.. mind you we have 1st row center mezz tix.. can't get a better seat in the house.. I give the tickets to the guy and he stops us.. So the tix I had were for LAST WEEK the 21st.. and I kept insisting to everyone it was the 28th!!!

I almost started crying.. we went to the ticket window and they were able to get us 3rd row mezznine which the seats were still fantastic.. the show wasn't sold out so we had no one around us which was great..

It was relly nice.. it was about this guy who is lost in the jungle and falls in love with a nymph.. there were these amazing contortionists and the costumes were beautiful.. it was really colorful...

some parts reminded me of other Cirques, so I guess that's a good thing.. we really enjoyed it!!!

But you know what... it's better that we missed the show last week, bc last Saturday was Stella's Bridal Shower and we were all too pooped to do anything after anyway.. so it all worked out for the best.. I wasn't such a moron after all!!!

WOW - that story is funny I might have done something like that but not b/c I am blonde b/c I am just too absent minded - that is what happens when you have too much on your plate all at once.


Glad to hear the show went well and everything worked out in the end. So did you have to pay twice That would S**CK

Was it difficult to get reservations at Tao? Do folks really dress up? Dare I ask how are the prices? Sorry for the ? over load I've been wanting to eat their for a while.

I would say Tao is trendy.. DH had on a cool Tee and jeans and he was totally appropriately dressed.. I had on trouser shorts and a tee and didn't feel underdressed at all

Food is yummy... some things are pricey.. dinner with tip for 4 of us was about $380 but we all had apps and Stella ordered the duck which was for 2 and that was $70 alone.. and drinks included in all that.. if it was 2 of us, I would expect maybe a bill of $150 with tip..

Thanks for sharing . Somehow I figured it would be more than $150 for 2 . Not too for a special night in NYC.
