So FUSTRATED! Changed my name and get a questionnaiore AGAIN under new name for JURY DUTY!

I change my name legally and get ANOTHER questionnaire for jury duty............. WHY ME! I just served a year ago. I now cannot get someone on the phone, so I am going to send in the stupid questionnaire with a copy of my receipt that I served and a copy of my marriage license. Do they have idiots working there???!!! I had to vent. Did this happen to anyone else? This is the 'reward' I get for changing my name- GEEZ, I should have kept my maiden name!

I'm sorry! that is so frustrating! I hope that doesn't happen to me. I didn't even think about that possibility I just served JD last spring.

Omg, they are UNREAL!!!!!!! I'm afraid I will have the same problem, in addition to changing my name I am moving to another borough. I got called for January 9th and once I serve my luck they will call me under my new name at my new address

Oh Godforbid someone would answer the phone there!!!!!!!!!!!!....That's unheard of

For some reason when you apply for a marriage license your name gets pulled for jury duty. I was, as was three of my friends who recently got married. It *****.

If you already served within the past couple of years by law you do now have to serve again, name change or not. Just call and I'm sure you'll get out of it. This should also apply moving to a new borough as well. When my DH moved from Long Island to Queens he was served and I just proved he had done it in Long Island and they dismissed him.
