So girls... about Halloween

So girls... about Halloween

DH and I bought our house almost a year ago. So we owned it for Halloween last year, had the keys, but were not in it. We have no idea what to expect for Halloween as far as trick or treaters.

Do you get trick or treaters?
Do you know how many?

What are giving out this year?

Where we live we don't get that many trick or treaters since we live by the mall they all go over there to do their trick or treating.

My mom's in Farmingdale and maybe gets 10-20 trick-or-treaters a year, depending on the weather. She's on a dead-end cul de sac though.

My dad's in Great Neck and they get MAYBE 2 people a year. I have no idea why so few!

When we used to live in Great Neck Estates when I was younger, we'd get closer to 50 people coming by, but I think that's because the neighborhood (a) had a lot of children; and (b) was easy to walk around and hit up many, many houses at once.

I hope some people come by here this year! We're in a townhouse and the weather should be nice, so it's an easy area to hit up 30 homes within a few minutes.

We live on a private dirt road so for the past 5 years we havent gotten any - so not expecting any again this year. But we have a lot of leftover candy from our Halloween party this past Sat so I think I'm going to have DH take the leftovers into work this weekend...what Trooper says no to free candy? LOL

My parents get tons of kids. But they live in a private community. The houses are far apart, but kids don't mind because everyone gives out LARGE candybars. Plus its safe, you don't have to worry about wackos. We are on a pretty main road, not sure if that will add or subtract from the number of kids. Its on a Sat though, so that should increase the numbers.

We live in a private condo complex....we might get kids from within the complex but I don't think it will be alot....I always have candy in the house so hopefully it will be enough.
