there is this place (i think it's called edible creations) where it's fruit but they look like flowers. the fruit is delish and you can even have it dipped in chocolate!
You can get him one of those really soft N.A.P. blankets from Brookstone or those cozy pillows stuffed with the beans (or the set!). We got that for a friend who had surgery and it was a big hit.
