So I'm at work right now

Just thought if anyone wanted to commiserate you could do it in this thread ... since all the other threads are about snow days!

I made it in to work super early because I left super early ... had minimal problems getting into the city between the bus/subway ... HOPING to leave by noon but I doubt I'll be allowed to go before 3:00.

Oh, and for the first time in 2 years and 4 months working here, I'm wearing jeans. F it, I say.

I'm at work

I live about 10 minutes from work but when you drive an Altima that drive can take a half hour. I also took one for the team by coming in because the other two people in my group are not coming...one is pregnant and the other one doesn't drive in the rain so she sure as hell wouldn't drive in the snow.

I have made the executive decision to leave by noon!!

DH had to go to work...his weather hotline said they were open, but due to the weather they could wear jeans. What???

I would have had to go in until noon-ish, but when I called to make sure they told me not to bother to come in if I hadn't left already, and that the roads were bad enough my car wouldn't make it anyway. So my boss and his wife are actually coming to my house at 11 on their way back (they live 8 blocks away) to bring some work home for me, so I'm telecommuting today...good thing everything I had to do was email based anyways!

I'm at work too. I live 10 blocks from my office, so there really are no excuses for me. Most days I am happy I live so close...today not so much because we just got an email saying that people can start leaving the office at 12, but clearly I have ZERO excuses for leaving early today.

I am at work also. All my previous jobs allowed me to work from home during bad weather, but yesterday my boss sent out an email to the team stating no one is allowed to work from home and if you are staying home you have to take a vacation day. What an a$$. Of course he is here bright and early and his wife just had a baby 3 weeks ago!!

I doubt we will be allowed to leave early, but I'm hoping to leave by at least 4:30.
There was no one on the road which really helped my commute.

I'm at work, but I'm so glad to be leaving at noon!
