Re: So is anyone else tired of

My aunt asked me on Christmas, if I hated marie d life yet, she was totally kidding, & I thoght it was funny, because it was differnt that the usualy, 'How's married life'
But her daughter ( my 16 year old cousin) was great--when her mom asked that she busts out with, all in a huff, 'MO-OMMMM, don't ask that, Cousin Heather must think you are so foolish, I'm sure hundreds of people ask her that!'

I was laughing way to hard at point to answer !

Re: So is anyone else tired of

I guess I'm the only one who isn't bothered by this question
It's just something normal that people ask to show they're thinking about you. But it IS hard to come up with an answer that doesn't sound dorky when they ask the question.....

I always saw it as something they felt they had to say since they can't think of a normal conversation to have with you. Just smalltalk, which I hate.

Re: So is anyone else tired of

I am VERY tired of that question!!!

For goodness' sake, I've been living with him for the last 2 years! It's not like I just found him on the street and we're married now!

One thing that was cute, however, was that one of the guys I work with used to ask me everytime he saw me 'Still Married?' (this was maybe once or twice a week, really). Of course he was kidding, but it was pretty funny. I would always say yes, of course, and he'd pretend to be impressed.

As for the kids thing, I'm SO not ready. I'm 24!!! My aunt and her mother have a bet as to when I get pregnant, and my aunt, who knows me better, told me to wait as long as I want - the longer it is the more money she gets! Her kids, my cousins, pat my stomach now almost every time I see them. They're 8 and 11, so it doesn't offend me.

Re: So is anyone else tired of

Annoying!

For me it’s REALLY frustrating when it comes from those who know very well I’ve been married for a year. “So how’s married life?” my answer: “The same as it was last few months”

For those who are just trying to be nice (all be it that it’s really boring question) I just try to let it slide off. It will stop won’t it?

Besides I’d rather have “how’s married life?” over “So, when are you due?” as if it’s just automatically assumed we are married therefore we must have children immediately. *shrug*

Re: So is anyone else tired of

I hear old married lady too. But, I don't mind people asking me. I am totally shocked, that it does not bother me. I usually answer, it is wonderful .

What I got tired of was the whole office questioning me with preparation before the wedding.

'So, what do you have left to do'. Everyday they would ask me this, about the wedding. That pissed me off more
