So mad at DH

So mad at DH

Sorry girls but need to vent. Please let me know if I'm the only one that goes through this.

So DH pulled his back out on Monday (not by lifting anything, its just one of those things). He finally calls the dr. yesterday who can't see him until tomorrow at 4. He had a terrible nights sleep (of course I did too) and stayed home from work today. So I got up this morning and left him a list of drs for him to call when he wakes up. I called him about an hour ago and he tells me that he took Advil and is just going to wait to see his regular dr. tomorrow.

I'm so furious with him that I don't even want to go home tonight. I have to also say that he couldn't even put on his underwear or socks yesterday he was so bad.

Please tell me that other dh's pull this type of stuff.

I think I might wait to see my own doctor as well, if I was comfortable with him/her.

I thought of that too, since there are drs. that I love too, but he hasn't been there in over 10 years !!

Men.. We will never understand them.

DH pulled his back out last week. Heating pad worked great but a hot water bottle was even better. His dr. did give him some meds which helped, but that will help in the mean time.

Oh well if he hasn't even been there in 10 years, I'd say he's being silly by not going elsewhere if he's in pain.

I see what you mean, but honestly I'd probably do the same as your DH. It's very strange going to a new doctor, esp if he's been comfortable going to his for some time. And it makes sense for him to wait too, since the dr will be seeing him tomorrow anyway (it's not as though he has to wait a week or longer). So go easy on him. That's my advice anyhow. If he'd rather wait until tomorrow when he can see his real dr, then that's his choice. Obviously he's the one feeling the pain, so he should be able to know what he can handle. No reason to make him feel guilty about that choice by getting upset with him. TMO at least.

Its just so frustrating and of course I hate seeing him in pain.

If you don't feel well you go to a dr. Simple .... UGH !!!

This is just one of those man things. Unless there on the death bed they want avoid drs.

Seeing hasn't been to a dr in years he is probably avoiding going for a physical which I am sure he knows the dr is going to want from him eventually. I am sure if he was in enough pain he'd go somewhere else.

My brother is the same way. We had to beg him to go to the dr because he was coughing for weeks turned out he had Pneumonia. He only went after his boss told him he couldn't come back to work without a drs note.
