So my head is spinning!!!

So ive been pretty much up to date with all of you guys about my house situation!

i think i last left off that we had aprox 45 days till closing!

well today i found out that the seller wants to close on March 15 (yeah thats umm 13days away!!!!!) and if we dont close by march 15th then he is going to charge us $85 a day because that is what its costing him to have the place!!

Im soo confused and soo annoyed at my banker guy!!! he was the one that told us from the getgo that we would not be able to close on the place right away due to the guys loan! whatever i have no idea how any of this stuff works so he said it and i went with it!!
and because our banker guy s-u-c-k-s i dont think all our paperwork etc is going to be ready by the 15th!!!!!!!!

so basically i still havent told my apt, that i am breaking the lease! i was waiting for a date! but we still dont have an official date, but they want it to be the 15th!! and i have to get a transfer at my part time job, because umm i need to work 2 jobs because if i dont i will be eating bread and water!

ugh soo stressed! i haven even started packing because i thought we still had soo much time! havent even thought renting a truck to move! dont know whats going to happen with our apt!

what does your contract say? Does it have an 'on or about' closing date? If the 'on or about' date is 3/15 - he has to give you till 4/15 to close. Unles the contract states otherwise, I don't believe he can charge you.

ok so thats the problem...our contract says Feb 1st! so thats why he is pissed, but everyone was telling us, oh its just a formality, he knows we cant close right away! bs!

well if it does happen sooner than later, at least i can get everything taken care of and not think about another thing...besides paying the bills!

one: take a deep breath.

two: what is the date in your contract. He cant just charge you money until after that date and technically you still have 30 days from that date so check that first before you freak.

three: can you afford a month of rent and the house? we didint give notice til we came home from the closing cause a lot can happen before the closing and we didnt wan to be homeless so we had both places for a month and it also made the move a little less stressful

Ahhh thats crazy!!! Hopefully everything will fall into place.

it says feb 1st, but the contract was written up before we were told that we werent able to close for so many months due to the sellers loan, everyone said it was fine to sign it because they knew about the delay in the closing!

what does your lawyer say? Does your banker have all the info he needs to clear you for closing?

ita with this. if ur contract has a date and says on or about, you have a month before and a month after. i'd talk to your atty about this!!

eta just read the rest of the thread. i don't have any advice but i just want to give i know how stressful this is! it will all work out ok!!

oohh its soo much fun lol!

we are getting him all the paper work he is asking for to him, even tho we just gave him everything a month ago, but they need updated stuff!

our attorney is working trying to get everything figured out, so we can close as soon as possible without paying the demanded $85 a day!

i am actually getting excited that its sooner than later, cuz sooon this crapola will be over with!

That is crazy!!!

This whole process is so backwards, we were supposed to close Friday and all of our stuff is done but now the seller has one more thing left to do. Then we’re “maybe” supposed to close this week and “definitely” supposed to close by next week… but no matter how many times we ask no one can give us an actual date!

So if it makes you feel any better I haven’t packed a single thing yet either.

I hope you can close!! It's very exciting closing on your first house! I can't tell you how happy DH and I were to get the keys and walk into our house for the first time!

Now get packing!!!
