omg kristy im so sorry Definately do not do any research online... You need to hear it all first-hand from the doctor. Each person deals with cancer differently, but to keep you positive- my mom was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer last year right before we got engaged. They removed the tumor, didn't even go through chemo, and she is 120% HEALTHY today. And she is 70 years old. A few short months later they found a totally unrelated spot on her lung which ended up being stage 1. Also did not have any need for chemo after surgery. I thank God every day for her health, she is absolutely FINE now.

I am so sorry!!! I really do not know anything about these types of cancer but what I do know is that the power of prayer can heal!!! SOmeone I know had inoperable cancer but went through chemo and radiation and everyone was praying for him. An he's been in remission for a year now and was even able to make it to my wedding! Get everyone you know to say a prayer for her everyday!!! I will be!

Kristy, I am so sorry to hear this! I agree that the power of positive thinking is VERY strong and will help her during her fight and healing process! I pray that she is able to get well quickly! Many prayers for you, your mom, and your family!

I am so sorry to hear this sweetie, my FMIL has had stomach cancer a few times actually. She has a disease called Scleroderma that causes the cancers. She's had cancer all over her body, but mostly in her stomach and esophagus. They've removed tumors from her a few times. FMIL keeps a positive attitude and keeps on living her life, she is still here and kicking by the grace of God! We believe in the power of prayer and God's healing touch. My FMIL is a fighter and I'm sure your mom is too!! Don't be discouraged! You are in my prayers

I am so sorry. My grandmother is going through chemo also. . it's a hard time for the family but you need to be strong for your mom. I will keep you and your family in my prayers

OMG i am so sorry to hear this! i have no idea about either of those cancers but i will for your mom! be strong for her!

My grandmother had colon cancer about 20 years ago. They removed it and she recovered, thank God, so yes, it can be cut out. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers

I hope everything will be OK. Be STRONG, and tell her to be STRONG, and everything will be FINE.

My uncle had stomach cancer 10+ yrs ago ... 3/4 of his stomach was removed, and the worst part of it was that he couldnt eat alot bc he would get stomach pains. The GOOD thing was that his stomach eventually expanded and little by little he was eating more. But - my point is - no matter what, it is CURABLE.

I am so sorry to hear that your mom has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and colon cancer. You and her both need to stay strong. I sincerely believe that the stronger you are and more positive you are, the more you can fight this ugly disease. I hate cancer!

The only advice I can give is when your mom goes into remission, make sure she gets her blood tested as she is supposed to b/c I know someone who had cancer, went into remission and did not go for her blood tests and now she is diagnosed with cancer again and is not doing well. That is so important. The quicker they find this stuff, the better.

Please don't make yourself crazy with looking online b/c it will drive you crazy. If I were you, I would ask your mom for the dr.'s phone number and speak to him directly.
