I had an almost life-threatening skin condition about 14 years ago.... that was difficult to treat and required dangeous meds that most physicians wouldn't perscribe......
he took a risk... he perscribed them, and I got better. He also helped me get my first job as a technician. he was a good man

was it accutane? they wanted to put me on that once when i went off of the bc pill and my face went nuts. but iw as very scared and didnt go on it because of the horror stories...
it i s sad when you lose a doctor who you had a good relationship with. my obgyn that i have been seeing for 10 years, and my mother has seen for 30; he delivered me; stopped delivering so i have to switch doctors now since i am planning on ttc within the next year or so..

So sorry to hear this. I'm glad you were able to find him and get the care you needed at the time. It sounds like you forged an important relationship. If you felt it was appropriate, I'm sure his family would love a note from you saying how highly you thought of him.

yep, it was accutane, and I was on a VERY HIGH dose... it almost put me into liver failure... but without it I would have been much worse off, if you can imagine.....
Yeah, I'm sad becuase he stuck his neck out for me numerous times, and was always very cheery and supportive. he was a good guy

That is very sad. I fell the same way about my dentist whom I saw since I had my first teeth. They become an important part of your life.
