So the next few weeks are going to be hard.......

DH starts chemo on monday I dont remember my last update on him but they found more cancer after they removed the lythm nodes so they want him to start chemo so it wont spread anymore. my poor DH cant win We are both scared and cant wait for this to be over with. we are hoping by the summer things will be ok. im so scared to see him lose his hair. im not going to be able to handle it. i know it will grow back but it to me will really make him look like a'SICK' person and right now he looks great, happy and healthly looking like nothing is wrong and to see him not himself is going to be tuff. im going with him next week thrusday and friday for his 1st round of chemo and we are all taking turns as a family to be with him there. things have been so great between us but hard at the sametime. im having my own health problems that i have to take care of next monday and wont be able to be with him the 1st time he gos. we are two unhealthly people right now lol but i know we will be fine soon. just scary at 1st the thought. sorry for my rant and rave just needed to type it all out lol

Don't worry about your husband losing his hair. Not all the chemo drugs do that. If he does, it will just be a new look. My husband is bald and I like him that way.

thanks ladies! i feel liike i come on here a lot with bad news but in a weird way it feels good to write out what im feeling. you can only complain so much to family lol i dont mean to be a pitty party its just really hard to stay strong sometimes and feel like things WILL be ok. im so glad u girls are so understanding and helpful for me!!

and about him losing his hair...all chemo patients react differently...my moms best friend has been going for chemo for 8months now and hasn't really lost anything..so u never know....and like susi said..if he does, while yes - u can see it as him being sick, you can flip the situation & perhaps it can be his new look You are a rock tara - because i can't even imagine what you're going through. we all love you & are here for you! dont you EVER apologize for wanting to talk on here! please keep us updated..we'll be prayin' for a quick & speedy recovery for the two of you!

Hang in there and think of how solid all this hard stuff has made your relationship...you guys are in my prayers every nite...as well as all the other girls on here so God has to take notice and see how much love there is for you guys and help you thru it!!!!!

Tara hang in there. and Next monday will be fine, I promise!! I know alot of people who have had it done, and only one person had to go back a second time and it was still nothing!!! But call me as soon as your done!!! I told you i was the biggest baby when I went through it

And as for James losing his hair, my friend had chemo for 3 months straight 1 x a week, and she never lost any hair, so have hope the small amount he needs he won't lose it. Hey it gives you a glimps into your future, minus some wrinkles

I'm so very sorry for what you're going through, and I'll keep you in my prayers. How horrible that you have to deal with this, but you will have the strongest marriage because no matter what happens in life, you'll know you got through this together, so you can beat anything.

uggh Tara I'm so sorry you two are going through this. My mom's been going through chemo since late January...it's a necessary evil to get rid of the cancer. it is WORTH it!! My mom lost her hair....and yes, she can wear a wig but she doesn't look 'sick' to me at all. Your DH will look 'different' I'm sure...chemo isn't a walk in the park but it's what he needs to get rid of what's really affecting his body. Be glad that it is treatable!!!

Being scared is completely normal...I'm scared every day for my mom but I know the chemo/radiation is the hope we have. Just hold on to that hope!!!
