and a touchdown was scored causing Patrick and me to win $1000!!!!! Woohoo!!! And I wasn't even watching the game!
Just had to share since the only thing I've EVER won before this was dinner for 2 on a boat (Thanks LIWeddings! ).

Not pathetic AT ALL! Paying off credit cards is a great way to use 'found' money. We are each keeping $200 to use frivilously, and the rest goes towards the gutting and redoing of our living room and dining room.
I didn't even watch the game and was SOUND asleep when Patrick came home. He woke me up by whispering in my ear 'Guess who's going to Banana Republic???' He's so cute!

YAY JEnn !!!!! Good for you !!! I had to laugh about the only other thing you won being the dinner, LOL.
John was pacing the room every time he was CLOSE to winning $50 and then punched the couch every time some dope that he works with won it ! And every ten minutes reminded me that AGAIN we were ONE BOX AWAY from winning !! It was funny !!
Im going to tell him you won $1,000, he'll be so jealous !!

Guess who would have won if they had not scored that last touch down??? Me of course, but hubby said almost don't count for anything. The person that won the pool did not buy us breakfast and that's our motto for running the pool oh well

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm so happy for you and Patrick!!!!!! And quite the opposite happened in my house -- Joe needed them to go for 2 points those last 2 seconds and he ended up losing $980 by one point!!!! Wait'll I tell him!!! We won the Super Bowl about 2 years ago -- $500, but it came to good use -- went towards the wedding!!! LOL

I didn't have money on the game this year, but several years back, I won a very satisifying $75 when the score changed at the last minute - I snatched it away from I guy I had previously dated!!!
