DH and I both want to do some work on the side but we can't really go get 'jobs' right now because we're driving to the midwest in two weeks and we're not willing to work Christmas and then we're going on the honeymoon in February.
I mean - I guess we could but I dont know how that would look being like 'Hey can I have a job? P.S. I need a week off in February and I'm not willing to work the holiday.'
Actually I do know how that would look
Anyways. I'm more about trying to get random gigs on craigslist.
Babysitting, DH can tutor on the side, etc.
What other kind of jobs do you think we can snag on craigslist?

What about working as a pampered chef consultant Every time I go to the parties the consultants are always trying to recruit new people- they say you make alot of money by doing the parties.

Not for me. If I still lived in my hometown I'd have a field day with it but I have a pretty limited social network (besides you guys) here and you sort of have to know people to even get started.
Plus you have to put out $100 initially just to get started.
And there's no room in our apartment for me to start dragging stuff in

Theres always ebay .. you can sell everything but kidneys ;).. Are you crafty ?? you can advertise yourself to decorate peoples trees- it sounds silly but Ive worked seasonal stores and have been offered GOOD $$$$ to go to peoples homes and do their christmas trees, you can advetise on craigslist or in the pennysaver. thats my 2 cents

Seriously?
Why would people want someone to do their tree? That was a family event in my house growing up.
