Social securtiy question!! My Darn job ticks me off!!!

I am p@ssed off!! I put in a business day at my job for Friday so that I can go to the DMV to change my registration and change my SS card. Well i go to sign out and my boss says to me, umm. just so you know there is a DMV here in Levittown and you can go on your break and do that and I believe you can change your social security online so Iam denying this day off!! I cant even go there.. I have been taking so much crap at my job lately that I have come home and hysterical cried to the point my eyes are now burning and puffy!!

Anyway I wanted to know if you could really do it online or do I have to go down there? What do they need from me to change it??

Why would they let you change a major form of identification in the United States online...is your bos a flocking idiot! You can probably print the form online but I'm pretty sure you have to do it person and provide them with your original marrigage certificate .

I think as long as you dont live in queens, you can actually mail it in- if you live in queens, you actually have to go there.

You have to mail in your ORIGINAL passport, driver's license

AND marriage certificate.

its dumb, i wouldnt do it

i just changed my social security card today. they definitely need the orig marriage certificate. i went to the office and the process took 2 min, but i did wait for 50 min before i was called.

there was no way i was mailing the orig
