some advice from the newlyweds on videos please...

hi ladies
i just received a sample video from the photographer that we liked the best. problem is, the video was 12 minutes long. 12 minutes! i assumed it would be much much longer. how long are your wedding videos? also, any suggestions for a reasonably priced videographer? i just wasn't impressed at all with the videographer that works with that photographer...
thanks ladies!

My video is just over an hour. I'm not sure what you mean by reasonably priced, but I used Wild Rose ($1500 and up) and they were wonderful!!! Not that you haven't heard that before about them!

Good luck!

I would think that if it's just a sample video, than that is why it's only 12 minutes long. I doubt that they make their promotional materials feature-length. I guess they figure you're time is valuable, and you're probably not interested in sitting through 1.5 hours of someone else's wedding.

I think it was asample, or maybe they showed you the recapp. Mine was about 2 hours, maybe a little less.

Mine was 45 minutes (perfect!) and the unedited footage was 2 1/2 hours. Probably just the promotional piece.
