here is my comforter and bed
we got the bed at Macys.the nite stands are STANLEY

here is the bed w/ window and blinds

here is Armoir and ceiling fan

my grandma did, michele
she passed away when I was young
she did them all after she had a stroke too, she would just make needlepoints for my mom all the time

thanks!! Notice in the mantle pic, hubby threw his gym bag on the kitchen floor again I was trying to get a pic of the frames

I love the Armoir Tammy and the bedding too! Thanks so much for posting. I hadn't even thought to get a 'metal' headboard and footboard rather than getting the whole set....... I really am so bad at this stuff.

I went to the store that advertised Stanley but they didn't carry any of nicer bedroom sets. The search continues. The set that we were just about ready to buy turns out to have some veneer which may be a deal breaker. We'll see.

For those that are interested, I priced the set through a few furniture warehouses (not sure if that's what they are) and found that http://www.basista.com/galleries.shtml has the best deal. They are $1500 less than the store, and they are in good standing with the BBB. Definitely worth checking out.

Jeng-- stay away from VENEER we looked at bedrooms and dining rm that had veneer and real wood
the draws are not dovetailed and it is NOT as sturdy
there is a dresser to my set but we didnt have a wall to put it on b/c of the set up of my TV etc....
even though my room is so big b/c of where the dummies put the door and the walkin closets, I have limited wall space lol
but I guess it had to be that way

The set we're looking at has solid wood drawers that are dove tailed and everything! All the stuff you're suppose to look for. But in the catalog, it says selected veneers. I'm going to email the manufacturer (Pennsylvania House) and find out exactly what is what. Would you consider a set that used veneer on the side of the armoir or something like that. I'm so disappointed.

I hear you on the dresser. We've decided since we don't plan on being in our Townhouse for more than 3 more years, we're going to buy it anyway and put up a bi-fold door so that one will fit All the pieces we want are going to take up the whole room. We're even going to put one of the nightstands in a closet
