Some things are meant to be (long)
Hi, I haven't really posted since my Oct. wedding because it has been a very stressful time in my life. I know a lot of you have your own stresses at this time (house hunting...jobs...baby's...), so I'm hoping by sharing my recent 'stresses' and the happy endings you will all realize that sometimes things are meant to be. A few months before the wedding, we were 'in contract' on the house that I thought I loved (after looking at tons!) Then I was told that I might be very sick and had to have surgery. Knowing that I might have a life threatning disease, we had to pull out of the house. I didn't even care about my sickness that much because I was too depressed about losing the house.
The surgery proved that it was not as bad as thought and I would be ok in the long term, so a month or so later we went back out there. Well about another month later we found the perfect house that blew the other house away (and yes, we too paid asking price!) I LOVE the house, it was totally meant to be that we lost the other house! Unfortunately, our closing was within a week of the tradgedy, and we lost many friends (his old company was on the 99th fl), and my husbands job shortly there after. He is the main breadwinner by 3X, so there was no way we would last long with our mortgage. Well somehow we survived the last 4 months draining every last penny we had, to fight a foreclosure. After months of searching a very difficult job market, my husband was offered a job this week! The salary is better and he got a wonderful sign on bonus, to the point, that the time off was probably worth it for our longterm finances and his career. Again, it was meant to be.....
So when things seem frustrating, just remember it might be worth it in the end!
