Something you thought you would never do...

Ok so we all have heard that we will turn into our mothers...what is something that your mom does that you thought was ridiculous and swore you never would do?

There are a few here, I always take dh plate away even if he isnt finished eating, if he puts the fork down in my head I'm like ,' oh he must be finished.' My mom always did this to my dad lol

Also I just did one that made me decide to write this post, I hope I can word it correctly:

You know the canister of Lysol Wipes, how you can put the first one through the little whole at the top and then pull the rest out kinda like a box of tissues? Well my mom does not do it, she takes the whole roll out and then rips one off and puts the roll back in. She says that the top one dries out if she pulls it through the hole. Well I just realized that I have been doing this without realizing it for the 3 years that I have lived with dh. Oy
What do you ladies do?

well my mom drives me crazy with questions! and
she also can be kinda nosey

altho i think im not as bad as her, im very nosey as far as i like to know everything and be in the loop with stuff and apparently I drive my DH crazy with questions too! lol

its not as bad tho!

You know when your mom would lick her finger and clean your face off with it??...eww...I always hated that.

And now I have a 4 year old and I also do it. Were always running around and if has food on his face, I lick the finger and get it off...HAHA

That's too funny!

OMG when I find an amazing sale at the food store I tell EVERYONE about it...like 50 cents off mozzarella is going to save the world from the global economic crisis...

ETA: My cousin and I used to make fun of my aunt and my mom for this when we were younger...it was like the shopping olympics to see who could save more when they food shopped. I am no where NEAR their level! My mom will drive 10 miles out of her way to save a nickel...

Nothing really yet, except maybe using a few expressions. I am betting its going to come out more when I am a mom. Although I am more like my dad, I do find a lot of him coming out... my tendency to over react, my desire to be the center of attention. I am sure more of my mom will come out as time goes on.

My mom however is quickly becoming my grandmother in many ways. Most noticeably the hours spent playing solitaire (only mom on the computer) and the relentless political talk... I mean I agree with my mom politically but I am so sick of hearing about it. I am a social studies person, I usually like politics, but I can't even watch the news anymore because I am so sick of hearing about it 24-7.

i never realized until my DH said it but i store and save everything. Like i wont throw away clothes that i had for years even though i dont wear them or i'll buy candles and wont burn them cuz i wanna save them i know it sounds crazy but my mom does the same thing and it drives my dad crazy

omg its crazy how I catch myself doing things all the time. I have complete OCD when it comes to cleaning - ill break out paint cans to touch up scuffs on the walls. My mother is the same way.

I did this the other night and my bf happened to pass by - she started hysterical laughing and told me I was acting like my mother.

Oh, there are many things I see already...one is talking to myself while I cook, clean, etc. This is so my mom.
