Is there a way for me to modify a pre-scanned picture? The make-up ones?
I am still wavering on either doing my own or hiring someone!!!
Thank you so much

Re: SonicStef, photo/makeup question!!!
You could crop the photos you posted so you could see your face larger. HOwever, that 'fuzzy' lens thing is not going to give you a good idea of what your skin really looks like.
Whenever I have a bad photo, I make it soft focus and poof - it always looks better.
If you have an epix that is clear focus, you can crop out your face and examine that.

Re: SonicStef, photo/makeup question!!!
What the hell is a fuzzy lenz? my actual proof is not fuzzy at all!!! So I crop the face and then make it larger and save? Or would I need to also sharpen the image?

Re: SonicStef, photo/makeup question!!!
I just responded in your other post.
What I am calling a 'fuzzy' lens is aka as soft focus. Edges are not as sharp, gives the photo a more dreamy look. Very flattering photography techique ... not very good for caputuring accurate details.
I dont know anyway to sharpen the photo without adding 'noise' which would not present a very accurate idea either.
Try cropping out your face and see how it looks. Keep in mind the soft focus filter is going to make you look better but at least it will give you some idea.

Re: SonicStef, photo/makeup question!!!
You can crop it directly in shutterfly if you want. I cant do it for you b/c i dont have your password. Just go to the photo, click on 'enhance' and then crop. Make the square just around your face and then finish

Stef, is there a way to make it less blurry in shutterfly after cropping?

Re: SonicStef, photo/makeup question!!!
Did you scan the photo yourself of did Imagine?
Short story is - to get a clearer photo, you need to send shutterfly a digital file with a higher resolution. 300dpi or better

Eek, Imagine did. I don't have a scanner.
So, then I can't fix it, right... Oh well, may be I'll bring a proof to a gtg in june.

Re: SonicStef, photo/makeup question!!!
There are two reasons why the photo would not be crisp:
a) The photo was not scanned with enough dpi (dots per inch) to make a clear picture when cropped
- this can be easily fixed by scanning the photo at a higher resolution
b) the photo was taken with a soft focus filter
- this cant be made crystal clear b/c the image that was captured on film was soft.
