SOoooo Upset

On sat night I was at a nice dinner wit friends in the city... I put my bag on the back of my chair with my coat over it so no one could see it or take it.. .well to my surprise after we ate and I picked up my coat my bag was gone

I lost... my money, my phone, brand new digital camera, license ss card and some credit cards insurance cards.. I happened to have my ez pass in there cuz we took a friends car and he didnt have one.. keys to everywhere including my car and job... plus my bag itself was a big coach bag

I am soo upset... I have no clue how anyone could have lifted my jacket and took it without me knowing plus we were 9 people and none of us noticed... the material things suck but can be replaced... my contacts in my phone book will take forever to get back I had soo many numbers.. the locks had to be changed everywhere... I have to go reprogram my alarm system because they have my car key... and everything costs money so not only am I out about $800 worth of stuff and money I have to pay out more money to replace everything

people in this world suck!!! how do u have the balls to steal someone's bag right off their chair in a big restaurant

oh my gosh - i am so SO sorry this happened to you. that is just so crazy and i just dont get people these days....ESPECIALLY that u were a whole table full of people! they'll get there's - karma's a B - God is good like that. again i'm so sorry - i can't even imagine..

I am so sorry this happened to you - there is nothing worse because you feel so helpless and violated. Definitely file a police report. Credit card theft is now being treated as identity theft and local police depts are being trained in how to deal with it - if someone used your cards to make purchases before they were cancelled, having a police report will help you dispute them. It will also help notify that your SSN might be in jeopardy. You should also file a fraud alert on your credit report because someone has your SSN. Credit cards can be cancelled and changed but your SSN is a different animal. Having a fraud alert will let people know that they have to ask many additional questions to prove your identity before they give money or credit in your name. Just a warning to everyone that you should keep your SS card locked away and never, ever carry it with you. This advice has changed from years ago when you were SUPPOSED to carry it. As newlyweds we might have just gotten a new one and forgotten to put it away. I don't want you to think I'm criticizing you on top of everything you've had to go through- it could have been anyone. I hope everything works out OK

Have you called your phone? My friend had her bag stolen she called her phone 1000000 times finally someone answered, her bag was ringing in a garbage pail. The thief stole the cash and threw the bag and everything else in the bin.

i did try the phone they had shut it off but then they turned it on ... we got thew but no answer then they shut it and never turned it back on.. they also never used it

i am so sorry this happened to you... its scary too, because you had your jacket over the purse... i do that all the time!!

that stinks!! I bet they cut the strap on the bag as they walked by...my friend's Dad had his pocket on his pants cut so they could steal his wallet! I freakin' hate thieves!!!!! So sorry you are going thru this!

OMG Im so sorry this happened to you, its crazy that there are people that have the balls to do this and dont get caught

Think this...It could be worse...One time I put my E ring in my bag...cus I didnt want to get it dirty at work....I almost died when I saw it missing...but Thank GOd it was just one of the girls..being nice and bring everyones bag out of theback room for us....SO NOW I NEVERRR EVERRR leave anything too important anywhere lol

that is awful. Since you lost hundreds $ worth of stuff, can you put in a claim on your homeowners policy? I know it won't get your stuff back, but it might cheer you up if you can can get $ for a new bag. After you file the police report,. call your insurance company
