Ok, I am about to flip out! I was just cleaning our bedroom and I came across a THANK YOU CARD that DH never mailed to one of his friends! Our wedding was 21 months ago! I am LIVID! Oh, and while I clean everything he is sitting playing video games! Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh no! I would get on the phone with that person right away. I am hoping that it's a single male because single men are much less likely to get upset about not receiving a thank you card.

I would unplug the freaking game yell at DH and then hand him the phone and make him call and apologize right now to his friend. His friend might not even care (which is what he might say) but that is not the point! He has to do it!

Well I just lost my cool. He got so mad about shutting off the game, and now to avoid me he went outside to shovel our cars out. These are freinds of his parents, and yes we have seen them, oh and I just found out that he never mailed a wedding gift to his friend that was married in July! I guess I have to do everything myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been striking recently as well for mostly the same reason (I clean and he plays on the damn computer).
When I ask him why he thinks it's okay to do that he says 'You didn't ask me to help.' Like someone had to ask me to clean the bathroom and do all the laundry.
So this weekend I only did my laundry, and on Tuesday, when he has no socks, and he asks why his laundry is still in the basement, I'll tell him he didn't ask me to do them.
Men suck sometimes!!

I can totally relate My dh does not help me what so ever with the chores! I tell him he has to take out the garbage and he goes you know i work all day! and what do I do sit on my butt all day? I work too. yes he pays the bills he thinks that is his only job thats because i am not good in math.I vaccum, dust, laundry, clean the bathroom and go to work. he comes home too and say can you get me a glass of water can you give me the caculater? i am like what am i your maid i tell him get off his a$$ and get himself.

I was on strike awhile back and it works wonders. I was getting angry but not saying it out loud, and just did not clean the way I should have in the bathroom. Even though it sounds gross, i just let it get worse and worse, the shower that is until he got so fed up he cleaned it. Well, now he does his share of cleaning etc. I told him it is har d after working and doing stuff in the house as soon as I get home etc, it was not fair all he did was play video games or go online. he now is a cleaner and our shower is always spotless. Sometimes going on strike is hard becuase it builds up, but in the end it is the best thing that you can do.

That's why we finally got a cleaning person...once every two weeks. Now we don't argue over it and we can do things we like to do. We still have to keep after the house but it's a lot easier. Hubby is also much more helpful now that the pressure is off. It's not that expensive and it's worth it so we don't fight about it.
I am the laundry fairy though and if he complains about it, then the laundry fairy goes on vacation.
