Speaking of Birthing Babies...
Did anyone see the article in the Sunday NY times (04-14-02) about the lady that had the 1st ever water birth at Nassau County Medical Center (it's the only underwater birthing center on LI)?? She and her husband are friends of ours!! Anyway, if and/or when we decide to have kids we want to do the water birth thing too...
Kerin says that it was the most relaxing experience and that she was very comfortable...
Now there are so many options for birthing babies into a calm, serene environment vs. your standard hospital room... Of course the standard hospital room worked fine when almost everyone that I know was born, so it can't be half bad...
Anyway, if you want information about the midwife etc, let me know. She comes HIGHLY recommended.
