Spider Veins....

Spider Veins....

So I have a lot of little spider veins on my legs and I really hate them!!!! Anyone have them removed/lasered or ever look into it? I am sure its considered cosmetic but just curious what your experiences were!!!

My mom had vericose veins removed and she got it partially covered bc she said they were painful but doubt that's the case with little veins.

not a newlywed yet... sorry to crash

I just wanted to reply to this because I have experience with getting spider veins removed. I went to The Vein Center in Port Jeff and they get rid of them by injecting the spider veins with a solution that makes them disappear. I got it done on my thighs 2 years ago and just got it done again last month on my legs. It only cost $300 (I thought it would be a lot more so thats why I say 'only $300' lol) and my spider veins are completely gone now. I would describe it as slight discomfort... not really painful. HTH! Feel free to FM if you have any questions!

ETA: I don't have insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. But, they asked me if I have insurance so they prob would have tried to put it through (my spider veins were painful).

Yeah, what the above poster is talking about is called sclerotherapy and it's really the gold standard for spider veins.
You might want to wait until the fall if you tend to wear a lot of skirts/shorts in the summer only b/c you'll have tiny bruises--the vein clots up from the solution, then disappears.

My mom had thiat procedure done a few times. They came back on her within 2 weeks everytime, like they never left. I'm sure it works on most people, but for some reason it did not take with her.

im so encouraged by your post, thank you for sharing. i work on my feet all day and have the wear and tear to show for it. i'm seriously considering it, but ive heard that the sclerotherapy isnt permanent and they come back. any thoughts?
