hmmm, am i LIKE my mother? i suppose in certain ways, yes! I dont know how you couldnt really be influenced by your parents and what they instilled in you if you had a close relationship. and we are very close. but in many ways, we are very different.

I got many good qualities from my Mom...

- her 'daredevil' attitude and sense of adventure
- her sense of empathy for others
- her love of animals & nature
- good sense of right from wrong

actually i got alot of this from both my parents...but my Mom is 'fearless'...if she was born later in life i could've totally seen her being a cop...she has no problem walking up to someone & telling them they are being an a-hole (in a polite way of course)...we had a horrible group rental next to us years ago & she would walk over to the house filled with like 30 drunk people by herself & tell them to 'behave'. I hope to be more like my mom someday.

A few years ago I would have sworn that I am absolutely nothing like my mother.
Now I see her differently & I can see that we do have some characteristics in common. Not a whole lot, but certain things.

Yes, they say I am my mother's child... I should only hope to be like her when I am her age.. she is an amazing accomplished person

but DH loves it..my mom is kind of a rare breed

53 yrs old and has the sense of humor like a 12 yr old boy

OMG no, not at ALLLLLL. As evidenced by the 2,345,677 times she's told me:

'you're just like your father.'

OMG ok, YES and NO, My mom didnt raise me so in the 'home' sense I am more like my aunt who raised me->which I consider great b/c she is agreat lady

On the other hand-my Dad says to me ALLthe time you are just like your mother and so does DH so I guess I am alot like her->not bad just didnt expect to be anythin glike her

I'm ALOT like my mom. I hold grudges,I'm selfish at times,I don't wanna listen, and I seem to think I'm ALWAYS RIGHT! NOT always the case!!!Sound Italian or German to you? But then again.......I'm STRONG as a bull like my mother, will stick up for what I believe is the truth, and confront whom ever shall come my way!!! And that makes my husband, VERY,VERY happy NOT always,but most of the time, it ABSOLUTLEY makes him a happy man. And he's right here as I type

I have a few qualities that she has, but overall i have to say im quite different than my mother. Even though shes a wonderful person, we just have different views, and personalities. Which is okay, makes for interesting conversation, and I love her even more for those talks we have!

I think yes. Well, a modern version of her. Sometimes when I do things I catch myself and say this is so my mother.

I used to say HELL NO!!! But.....as I get older and begin to see life in different ways, I have to say yes. I have inherited some of her not-so-great qualities which i am trying to nip in the bud now rather than 30 years down the line.

But I also inherited many great qualities like:

-level head in stressful/emergency situations
-attention to detail (I like lists)
-class (meanign elegance and knowing how to behave in situations ranging from a block party to the corporate offices of the President and CEO foour company)

As I get older i also feel more sympathy for my mother. She still drives me nuts but i can appreciate her sooo much more and see how many gray hairs I gave her.

My mother was a wonderful person and I think that as I become older I become more and more like her. I share her sense of compassion & forgiveness, her love of life, her ability to make the best of a bad situation, her stubbornness and I also look a lot like her.
