i decided to spin it off in case others dont check back to the thread.
DH suggested LI to make it easy on the photographer and that way we can drive so we dont have to take the trains in our gear. Any beautiful location ideas?
The photographer it out of Amityville.I created an album of the kinds of shots we like if that can help you think of places.

Oyster Bay has a nice view and they have park. I also like the in Bayville, they have a great view of Long Island sound and they also have a park on the water and the place that I am thinking of is across from the amusement park in Bayville. The Roslyn museum is also a really cool place and the winieries out East are cool, but I don't know if they have a fee.

Sands Point Preserve might be nice..has some interesting architectural feautures as well as big rocks & tree areas...and i think you can also get down to the beach?? Don't remember...here are some pics i took at it in the snow a few years back...areas that you could get some nice pics maybe?
