Spinoff: How long did take your dress to be preserved?
Did anyone not preserve their dress? What should I do with it? I did not want to spend hundreds of $$$$ to preserve it...I am not going to wear it again
Right now it's just sitting in my closet....can I take it to be cleaned without being preserved? Anyone know how much that runs???? Thanks.

Re: Spinoff: How long did take your dress to be preserved?
Mine was only 100 to preserve it. I will never wear it again either..but Ive heard where it can be used to make a first communion dress or to line the bassinet for a child..so I had it preserved for those reasons..I did it through wedclean and it wsa inexpensive...this way if I find a use for it..it wont be yellow

I am going to preserve mine, at the dry cleaners. I called and they said it was about 150 to do.... I am a slacker though and still have not taken it in :)

I took mine to the drycleaners (and am very happy that the long time is not unheard of..hee!), and they are charging $135, I thought it was a reasonable fee.

I got mine preserved...it took about 3 months and I paid $250. I have it stored away in my house.

Re: Spinoff: How long did take your dress to be preserved?
i took mine to the dry cleaners. it was ready in about 6 months, but i didn't have the money to pick it up, then the dry cleaners burnt down
but apparently my dress was one of the ones that was salvageable and was sent to another dry cleaner to try and get the smoke smell out. haven't called back to see what's happened since....

I took mine to Kathy at Follow your Heart, she is working with a company. I should have the dress back in about 2-3 weeks! I will let you know how it went! But I trust Kathy so I have no worries!
