I was wondering what the average gift is now. I am going to a wedding in November, not here but in FL and even though I am going alone, I am giving what I would for a family of 4 (2 young kids). Thanks!

minimum $150 per person (at least up here in nyc)---as we were looking around for places for us to have our wedding hubby and I realized that even our $150 per person we have been giving probably isn't enough anymore--- always so expensive

Thanks! I was thinking of giving $300 even though it is only me going. We have known the family (my godparents) for 40 years so they are more than just friends and I am giving from all of us, not just me.

I think $300 will be a good number. That works with the $150 per person because in my experience you get the gift from the adults not the children. I don't think anyone would expect you to pay an additional $150 per child.
