Besides the song you chose for your first dance w/ DH, was any other song a close second??
We went with EastMountainSouth's 'So Are You To Me' (LOVE that song, its not well known), but our second choice was Ray Charles' 'Come Rain or Come Shine.'

We chose Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. We had 3 second choices: You & I by Michael Buble, Making Memories of Us by Kieth Urban and Amazed by Lonestar.

I love that song. I was in a store in Ohio that sells all Americana/Prim. decor things and I heard this beautiful song in the background. I listened closer and it was a bluegrass female singer covering Rascal Flatt's 'God Blessed the Broken Road.' I had to have it, so I bought her disc. The artist is called Bluegrass Girl. Beautiful!!!

We used When you say nothing at all by Alison Krauss and Union Station-our other option was Me & You by Kenny Chesney

We used 'When You Say You Love Me' - Josh Groban. Others we considered were 'My Love' - Paul McCartney and 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You' - Elvis Presley.

We didn't have a 2nd choice - we stick to our first choice and not planning to change. When we start looking for a band, the first question we asked was 'can you sing The Luckiest by Ben Fold?', as usual they said yes....Then we asked them so sing it for us.

It is one of my favorite sonfs. Thanks for letting me know about Blue Grass Girl, I am definetly going to check her out!!

our first song was, like joan_db (my everything twin), the luckiest, by ben folds. while there never really was a second, i LOVE when you say nothing at all by allison krauss. i thought about surprising DH and singing that to him with my dad on guitar, but then i chickened out

We used Elvis's 'Can't Help Falling In Love' (DH's pick) but I wanted 'All I know of Love' by Barbara Streisand and Josh Groban
So we used my song as a sort of spotlight dance right after dinner!
