Spinoff to HM book thread...what are your must-read books?

What books would you add to a must-read list?

I wish I needed HM books...but I need 'bored-sitting- at-FIL's-house-in-po-dunk-South-Carolina' books!

I appreciate ANY recommendations! thank you!!
