Three questions for your ladies cause I got started thinkign about names and what they mean and how our identities are in our names.
1.) What names if any, were your parents considering besides the one they gave you?
2.) If you could have been named anything else, what would it be?
3.) What names would you like for your kids if you plan to have them?
1. I was almost a Krystal Marie (God help me! My mom was into romance novels back then.) Lourdes Milagros lmao (my dad's mom liked that) My aunt named me Jennifer Joyce-said it sounded like a movie star name.
2. I like strong sounding but feminine names and ones that end in A lol. I am weird I know! Katherine, Arianna, Katerina, Gabriella
3. girl: Aurelia Elizabeth , Katherine Alexandra, Gabriella Marie or Isabella Grace boy: Nicholas, Gabriel or Alexander

1.) What names if any, were your parents considering besides the one they gave you? Amy or Heather
2.) If you could have been named anything else, what would it be? I like my name it works for both an adult and a child other than that maybe Tanda Wanda or Oprah.
3.) What names would you like for your kids if you plan to have them? Ronan Diarmuid I love the name Kelly for a boy but I think life is hard enough without having a girly name.
I can never think of girl names I like even when i was younger and had dolls I pretended all my sons had long hair and gave them boy names.
LMAO....

1.) What names if any, were your parents considering besides the one they gave you? My mom was considering Yahaira - me, I'm NOT a fan of the name so I'm happy she didn't go with it!
2.) If you could have been named anything else, what would it be? When I was younger I wanted a more common name because EVERYONE ALWAYS misspronounces my name, but now I love that my name is not all that common.
3.) What names would you like for your kids if you plan to have them? Boys - Matthew (but won't use it cuz DH's cousin's son is Matthew and I'd rather my son have 'their own' name in the family. Girls - no idea!
I always wanted to go with names that our families (most of whom don't speak english) would be able to pronounce. So maybe a latin name or even an italian name.

When I was a kid I didn't like it as much though, I always got the unavoidable 'Helen Keller' nickname when that story came up in elementary school lol
I so hear you, name twin; always got that or the infamous Helen of Troy!!
.
lol!! my english teacher in high school always called me Helen of Troy! I didn't mind it at first, but it got a little annoying after a while!! but it was def. better than Helen Keller, especially since I wore glasses since I was 6 (had lasik 2 yrs ago thank god).....so they made all kinds of blind references lol

Re: spinoff::Names
1) Well if I was a boy (which everyone thought) I would've been Kyle (which i think would've been really cute for a girl too)...the only other girl name my mom considered was Michelle, but she opted to make it my middle name after considering Taryn Blake(which i love too!). so there u have it - I'm Taryn Michelle (and 'taryn blake' would've been entirely after nicolette sheridan's character(her debut role) on the old show 'paper dolls'...i swear - i was destined to be an actress since birth )
2) I really wouldn't change my name...it's different - i like it
3) I always go in and out of phases with girl names...but i usually like names that end in the 'e' sound...just think their cute so lately my new names are Madyson(and call her 'maddy' ) and McKenzie. For a boy it would be Joshua John after his daddy, and then after that (if i had another) i really like Mason
