has any one gone to the ss office in melville. Is is crowded, i need to get my new ss card and i am wondering if i can go during a lunch hour or not. How long does this take- i already have the forms filled out.
I'm going to the one in Patchogue during my lunch hour. From what I hear...it's fairly quick...
I went to the Melville one and there was one other person in there when I went on my lunch hour. It took all of about 10 minutes. They asked me if I had an appt. when I went in (I didn't) but apparently you can make an appt. I really didn't have to because it took me longer to find the place than how long I was in there!
Did anyone change their SS card through the mail? I just sent my application and marraige liscense to them and was wondering if anyone else did this and how long it took to get back. Thanks!
I went to Melville also, and was in and out in about 10 minutes also. They were really nice too.
