Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
We actually have mostly Calphalon Professional Hard-Anodized aluminum cookware. Hard-anodized aluminum provides fast and even heat distribution when cooking. Then we added some pieces of non-stick for ease of cleaning and healthy cooking options.
The Titanium line of non-stick cookware by Anolon is fantastic. Watch out for Calphalon's non-stick though - we got one pan from their Simply Non-stick line and after a short-time the non-stick was no longer non-stick.
All-Clad also is a good brand for pots and pans.

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
Stainless (love my Farberware!!) & 1 nonstick for eggs (but as already said,it is something that needs to be replaced occassionally).

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
Stainless .. don't like non-stick because I don't like the chemical coating .. and hate the idea of worrying about chips coming off if it should get scratched .. also .. I've heard/read about when non-stick gets too hot, it emits some kind of toxic vapor. Most importantly .. I think the food I cook tastes better from stainless.
This is pretty much the set I have: (it's Royal Prestige .. well worth the money, in my opinion).
