Starting My Thank Yous...

and i don't know where to begin!! I don't know what to write because I don't want to sound cliche and boring!
I looked on a few 'wedding thank you note' websites and some of the stuff on there is really out there and cheesy...

Can anyone recommend a website that offers a variety of wording of what to writing thank you notes???

I don't know of any websites, but I will share the wording that we used for most of our non-BP, non-close family guests:

'Thank you so much for your generous (or 'thoughtful' if they didn't give $$) gift and for being there on our wedding day! We had an amazing day surrounded by friends and family and we are so glad that you were able to share it with us.'

There are only so many ways to say thank you, so I wouldn't worry about sounding cliche! For any family members or friends that I knew would see each other's thank you cards, I did try to change up the wording a little just to make it seem a little different. Good luck!

I just finished my thank you's and let me tell you...not sounding cliche goes out the window after you write 10 of them. I wrote out 120 and they all mostly said the same thing.

'Thank you for joining us on our special day. Our sincere thanks for your good wishes and generous gift.'

you can't help but sound repetitive and i'm sure your guests know that. how many different sayings can you come up with! i wrote pretty much the same for most people and used different adjectives (kind, thoughtful, generous) depending on the amount of money they gave - as terrible as that sounds!).

thank you so much for your generous/thoughtful gift. we truly appreciate your kindness/generosity. we are so glad you were able to help us celebrate this special day/time in our lives.

i also tried to make it a little more personal for certain people, close family, parents, close friends, etc.

I'm stealing your wording... lol...
I know i have to make sure i don't write the same things in people who will see eachother.
Also I guess there are a few i can personalize more. Thanks for the help!
