I made one petal - thats its! I plan on doing some more but i just havent had the time lately.
Although my petal looks pretty sad, Im hoping it will look better after I make a few and put them together. Right now I dont see how its all going to work.
I was going to take the beads with me on vacation but after doing one petal, i realized I would have lost all those beads on the plane floor in about 5 minutes!!

You were planning to do it on the plane? I thought you were going to make the flower on the cruise ship... Oh well, may be take the beads to the beach one day, if the weather cooperates this summer

No, but I will... I am working on testing my day off single use cameras, so once the roll is finished I may scan a few shots...
Still need to find a scanner, though.

Have you done the rose? Thats the one Im doing and the petal looks more trapezoidal than petal shaped!

Isn't it supposed to look a bit trapezoiddal? I made a few rose petals, but gave up... Doesn't look like I'll have to much time to play with it anytime soon.
If you turn the trapezoid upside down, you have the wider part on top, which should look correct once you put the whole rose together...

Stef, may be I should give you the petals that i made and then a mini rose can be made
I still have some wedding stuff to do and apply to Stern/Columbia (I am applying to both, one PT and one FT) all before next september... And mom now hates the dress, lol.

My sister is going with mom shopping this weekend... I need to politely tell my sister 'no prom dresses for mom', without sounding bossy (which is tough to do for me).
I stopped worrying about it b/c it seems that mom is trying to be a star at the wedding, and that's not quite her role in this affair... The most recent thing she asked was whether or not she can get her make-up done the same way as hair...
(basically, my hair person would only come if she had $300 worth of business, and would do up to 5 girls for that price. Since not all of my bms wanted their hair up, I offered the hair services to mom and grandma). But all in all, I would have rather paid only $100 for myself, which will end up being the case with make-up.

Here is my advice if you are interested - let her wear whatever she wants, let her do whatever she wants with hair and makeup....do not let it bother you. Trust me when I say you will not care what she is wearing on your wedding day and you will wonder why you ever cared. Its just not worth getting yourself upset over.

Its a good thing that many of my to do things are moving on so I am kept pretty busy.
