STEF HOW WAS PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS

I will have to scan what I did this weekend and show you guys...and let you critique it.

My instructor's critique was pretty nonexistant..he said he liked them but that was it. Some of the other students were really, really aweful so he spent a lot of time going over the basics. I swear, this class is so funny because a few of them have zero talent or artistic eye but think they are awesome :D

I wish I could express to you how funny some of these people are. Like one girl started the first class by describing herself as an aspiring professional photographer who has a great eye and a lot of talent. Right there - that seems a bit arrogant to me no matter how talented you are but when we saw her photos this week they were just god aweful! My friend and I could not stop laughing.

Then we have another girl who says shes a journalist for some publication but can barely speak english. Then when the instructor shows us a photograph, he might comment on something about it and she will constantly ask 'is that good or bad?' and he will say 'What do you think?' (trying desperately to get the beauty-is-in-the-eye-of-the-beholder message to her) and she will say 'If its good, I like it. If its bad, I dont'. Yikes!

Stef, that is too funny, you can see those same people offering their services for weddings saying they are photojournalist, charing an arm and a leg...Yikes indeed

sounds like fun...either way...and this gets you to go out and try new things...
