Step Brothers Review (no spoilers)

Saw it last night - very funny, if you like Will Ferell movies (best comparison, Talladega Nights) - you'll like this. If not - you will hate it like crazy! Dave liked it a lot, and usually with Will movies, the more you see them, the funnier they get, but this one was funny right from the get-go. Not as predictable as most honestly...so that was nice too.

LOTS of use of the F bomb...and i honestly think they used it that much just because they could. I am all for cursing (i curse like a sailor) - but it was just weird and out of place to me. It felt like they knew they had the R - so wanted to just GO FOR IT with the f word...

i saw it on sunday nite and what really bothered me is how many parents had their tween to young teenage children with them. the womain in front of me was buying tickets for it -- for her 4 sons who none of them were over the age of like 14.

its R-rated people--and it certainly EARNED that rating. why don't people look at this stuff???

THANK YOU....

Background - Dave normally doesn't give a CRAYOLA who sees a movie...but with R...he tends to have a stance..

He uses the bathroom and comes out and has this weird face on... I'm like, what's up? He goes - 'there were like 12 & 13 year old kids in there talking about how funny the movie is, but it's not as good as blah, blah... You know me, i don't care, but come on, this is rated R.'

I was really surprised that he noticed...then i saw the kids come out of the bathroom - OH MY GOD...they were BARELY 12 and 13...

Re: Step Brothers Review (no spoilers)

thanks for the review, we're going to see it tonite. i've been bit disappointed w/ Will movies lately, but this one had me laughing a lot during the previews.

ITA agree with the R rating. When i saw Hostel in the theater, there were many kids w/ their parents there and it completely disturbed me. Did you read anything at all about what this movie was about? granted, when i was a kid, i BEGGED my dad to take me to see The Lost Boys, but by today's standard's, that would def be more of a PG-13 movie.
