Are you going to want to find out the sex of your baby before it's born? Why or why not?

Its a Jewish custom/tradition not to find out ... or to buy anything for the baby before they arrive.
DH would like to find out though ... he even asked if it would be ok for him to find out but not tell me.
In the end, I don't think either one of us will find out.
yup! I'm Jewish too. I wouldn't want to find out.
What else in life can you be truly suprised about without any one ruining it for you?

I do not want to find out the sex beforehand. 1. I want to be surprised. 2. They told my mom my little sister was a boy - thank goodness they still bought gender neutral items.

We found out b/c we figured the day of the birth there are so many other surprises & just getting to hold your baby for the first time is huge enough. You're going through so many emotions to begin with. To us it was a huge surprise finding out at 20 weeks & we're glad we did. We just didn't tell anyone...it was our secret (we made the nursery gender neutral---walls green, did the border a week b4 she arrived & hid the bedding).

I'm kinda torn too -- as much as we'd love to surprise we're such planners too I think I'd need to know It's still a surprise no matter when you find out right

I am a plan ahead girl. I would have to know in order to prepare. I actually think it is neat to be able to find out where years ago you didn't have that option.

Well, since DH and I are in the situation now... I have said from the beginning that we would be suprised! Now that I am only a few weeks away from my Level II sonogram [when you typically find out the sex] I am having second thoughts. I'm not sure what we're gonna do now!

I hope not. I really would like to be surprised. I feel most of life has to be planned so I'd like to be 'unprepared' for a change. The couple of ideas I have for the nursery can be for either a or a . I've never liked the idea of blue for a boy or pink for a girl so I will be purchasing a lot of green and yellow which I .
