I think I've seen this on here before. I have proofs both 4x6 and 5x5 in size. Has anyone found a book that stores both (I don't want to use those sticky pages) for viewing? I also need to buy smaller books to give proofs to our parents, with those sizes too. Any suggestions?

Re: Storing your proofs
I found various size 3 ring storage pages - the slip in kind in photo shops.

Fran, can you tell me which photo shop you went to? Did you mix 4x6 and 5x5 in the same album?

Any other suggestions? I'm always wary of buying something online without getting to see it first. Any other stores? Target didn't have any, and I tried some of the smaller 1 hour photo shops nearby.... help! Help!!!

Re: Storing your proofs
I found 5 x 5 albums at Corners but I haven't seen any that hold both 5 x 5 and 4 x 6. Good luck.

Re: Storing your proofs
Today at Macy's I picked up two photo albums that I think are exactly what your are looking for. The are by a brand called 'LaVie' and the tag says 'The Super Max - Holds up to 400 Photos Holds all sizes including 3 1/2 x 5, 4 x 6, 5 x 5, 5 x 7.' Basically, its a two ring binder with 200 slip in pages that are 5 x 7, so you can include anything that size or smaller. Since my color proofs are 5x5 but my black and whites are 4x6, this was perfect for me. The cover is solid, but they also had prints. It was 50% off, so just $10 each! I hope this helps.
Valenia, you ROCK! Thank you so much for those suggestions, they are exactly what I am looking for! Which Macy's did you get your album at?

Re: Storing your proofs
I got my albums at the Macy's in Boston LOL so I don't think you'll be coming here! I'm hoping though that all large Macy's carry basically the same items...

Yay! I went to Macy's today and found the exact album you were talking about ---$9.99 each, so I bought 2! Perfect! Thank you soooo much for the awesome recommendation!!

Re: Storing your proofs
Oh yay! I'm so glad they were there! I started sorting proofs, and got tired LOL. I'm trying to get them in order of the day, and its going to take forever -- even without the 130 or so that are going in the professional albums and for reprints (photographer has those). hehe What a fun chore though!
Are you going to include ALL in the albums, or are you going to remove the few pictures that are bad? I was thinking about leaving the 20 or so ones that just didn't come out well in the boxes.

Re: Storing your proofs
Oh my!!! We must be on the exact same page right now because as we speak I am just taking a break from sorting through my proofs! First I had them already separated into groups (ie, families, candids, posed, ketubah signing, ceremony, etc...) and then I had to go through them to take out the proofs that I'll be giving to my parents (they did not buy professional albums). Now I'm trying to put them in order too! I started with all my 'getting ready' pictures, and then the formal posed ones... then the ketubah, ceremony, cocktail hour, etc. I am very particular about having things in a very specific order... so I'll probably be doing this for a while! I don't know if I am leaving any out... I probably won't. But now I'm thinking maybe I should have bought 3 books... I may have over 800 pictures!!!!!
Oh, and FYI, pottery barn sells a really pretty 5x5 silver plated frame! Just bought it today, and now I have to choose my favorite proof to go inside it!
Let me know how your proof album turns out!

Re: Storing your proofs
Thanks for letting me know about the pottery barn frame. I'll have to check that out.
My proof album is coming together well. Not having the proofs that are being enlarged or put in one of the albums is strange though -- I keep seeing proofs that I love and wondering why I didn't include them too. hehe. Of course its because I had even better pictures, but without having them here too look at I begin to doubt myself! LOL
