Story of a Newlywed...

So we on vacation with my family and FIL.... We stopped by Walmart and there was this big McDonalds inside... (Ohhh I was STARVING!!) I just wanted fries... So I tell my DH...

Me: 'Babe, I want some fries b/c dinner is at 7pm and its 4pm and I'm STARVING!!'

DH: 'Are you sure? You should wait until dinner!'

FIL (Joins ): 'Ohhh NOOO... We need to get her some fries!!! How about if your pregnant!!!!! I need to make sure you eat what you want!! I want my grandchild to be spoil from conception!! He gonna look just like his GRANDPA!!!'

Me: 'Ohhh No.. I'm just hungry not pregnant!!' (Sooo embarrassed )

DH: 'Ohh thanks Dad!! I hope she is pregnant!'

Me: 'Well the multi-vitamins called TRINESSA never fails me.. and they wont fail me now!!

Moral of the story... Once you are married everyone expects you to get preggers ASAP!! Not in my case.. Probably another year...

Ohhh and with my family... They were high five'in my husband Congratulating him throughout the whole trip... SMH! Little do they know I'm a week away from PMSin so I didnt want to come out nasty!!

Have any of you encountered little stories like this??

um, MIL was already asking about grandchildren at my bridal shower, 2 months before the wedding.

Enough said.

LOL...it is so true. People start to ask. I wonder if it is just a conversation starter with newlyweds at this point. I have to say, though...I have been best friends with my husband since we were 14, so I have been a part of my in-laws' family forever. When I was 19, I was on vacation with them and we went out to dinner...I got sick at the restaurant! My MIL (FMIL at the time) went outside with me and asked if I was pregnant! I said, 'Oh, no! ' She said...'Oh....because you two will make such beautiful babies!' Did I mention I was 19?

Sounds just like my ILs and SIL! She keeps telling me she wants a niece or nephew (she has two kids, but she wants another baby around!)... so the first thing I say whenever I see them is 'STILL NOT PREGNANT' so they'll not bug me the whole time we're visiting them!!!!!!!!

My family doesn't bother me. But work drives me nuts. A day can't go by without someone asking me when or mkaing some comment thinking that I already am.
