I know that this is a strange question, can you store up opened bottles of wine and or other alcohol under a sink? I have a couple bottles of wine and I don't want to leave them in my bedroom closet and out of respect for DH's dad & stepmother (they have both been sober over 30 years) I won't put them in pantry.

I don't see why not. If you're going to store them a long time, just be sure to rest them on their side or the cork may dry out. That's nice of you to do that.
