As I am working on the cookbook I am trying to make things more unified... so just a question for you ladies...
A slow cooker and a crock pot are the same thing right and the words can be used interchangeably? Is there a term you all prefer?
A pressure cooker is different right?
Sorry its a stupid question, shows you how new I am to cooking.

It's okay! They're good questions. Crock Pot is a brand name of slow cooker...so yea, same thing.
Pressure cooker - I think it's different...

Thanks so I will use Slow Cooker in the book, since thats the product not a brand name. Laurie - if you see Crock Pot, point it out to me and I will fix it.

Re: Stupid Cookbook Question
Pressure cooker is actually kinda the opposite of a slow cooker. Slow cookers use constant low temperature heat to cook ingredients. A pressure cooker uses air pressure to raise the heat inside really high and cook items at lightening speeds! (They're also fairly scary to use since they kinda hiss and steam all over the place.)
