Stupid question...... about photo albums

OK MIL has been having a rough time narrowing her photos down for her album. I was talking to another NW and told her this - she had the same problem. She said that it was too bad that I couldn't just take the proofs for me & DH & my mom & have MIL do hers when she is ready. When I asked her why not, she told me that she had to give back her proofs to get her album done????

Is this how it works???? My photographer never told me this!

I think it depends on who your photographer is..you have Patken right? Patken lets you keep the proofs, they are YOURS! Patken will make your prints for yoru ablum from their negatives, which you can also get 6 months from album pickup!

I had to give my photographer the proofs I wanted in my album (only the ones I chose - not all proofs) for the duration of time it took for them to create my album. When my album was complete all photos were returned to me along with my negatives.

Hearzbellz..Patken will give you a form to fill out..you can iether go in or fax it to them, they make yoru prints by what you tell them, but you definately dont have to bring in yoru proofs...dont panic

I didn't have to do it that way. Imagine had put #'s & letters on the back of the proofs. And then just wrote them down.
