Someone just e-mailed this to me. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
I got this from my friend who's brother is Suffolk county cop. Just to be on the safe side.
Subject: Walmart Forwarded from NYPD!! Hi all,My husband is a NYC police officer and asked me to get this out to as many people as possible. The Suffolk County Gang Task Force has confirmed gang activity in our area. They are targeting women and children coming out of Walmarts. They will jump the family in the parking lot and slice their victim faces with a Knife or razor. This assures them a place in the gang. The Walmarts in Islandia and Commack were already hit. I don't know if they were successful or not, but it was enough to keep me out of the stores after dark.

Hmmm ... I don't know ... I tend to think things like these are fake. Why anyone would lie about crap like this I don't know, but you see it all the time. Could be true though ... so go to the suffolk walmarts with your DHs only I guess for a while

My husband is a suffolk cop and he said he hasn't been alerted of it...if the policed really wanted to get something out it would be on the news, not through emails right?

I usually don't believe them either. I actually don't even shop at Walmart. I don't know, maybe because they name two specifically is why I'm even giving it a second thought. I don't remember seeing anything in the paper though, but I was curious if anyone else heard anything.

My best friends mother works in the Islandia walmart and I haven't heard anything. But, it's a good idea to alway becareful no matter where you are!

I've been to both Walmarts and never had a problem. I would think something like this would be a big thing. Plus i live near t he Commack one. I'm sure I would have heard something about it. The people in the area like to talk a lot.

I dont think its true. I play it safe anyway...no matter what...at night or in the day..when I have to go to stores! Especially during this economic meltdown.

I know, I usually check on snopes too but I figured I would just check here. I'm usually super careful anyway and tend to be suspicious. I don't take chances. LOL Thanks girls!

My cousin told me about this over the wekend...she said she double checked with a few suffolk cops and they confirmed it

Have you ever been to the Islandia Wal-Mart at night (after dinner time).. That place is SCARY!! I used to be an assistant store manager at that location.. and more that you EVER want to know goes down outside that building, and infront of dave and busters.
I also lived in Islip Terrace and would head over there with FH (at the time) and we stopped going after seeing people harassing, couples, men, women and everyone in between the parking lot.
If it is not this same exact story I am sure it is something similar..
