Sunday Movie Review
I must start this one with Dave is the best DH i could ever ask for. I've had a pretty damned rotten week (both personally and professionally) and he did what some men wouldn't have done for me.....
Our Drive In Selections this week:
Swing Vote and MAMMA MIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Swing Vote - I went in not knowing a whole lot about it. Dave read a decent review - so he kinda knew what to expect. If you leave out the premise (because it's 100% NOT believable) - the movie was good. I enjoyed it...it moved, it was funny (in some parts - HYSTERICAL).. I'd watch it again if it was on cable. Dave thought the middle was good - when they were campaigning to ONE guy, but didn't like the rest too much.
MAMMA MIA - i cannot tell you how much i loved this movie. When we were watching it - every problem I had this week just went away. It was the happiest i've been in probably a month! It was just so much fun, the music was great & I knew NOTHING about the story - so it was fun figuring it out.
WOW can Meryl Streep SING - OH MY GOD!!!! She sounded so amazing!! Pierce Brosnan, not so much - but he wasn't terrible... As long as he wasn't singing acapella, he wasn't bad. We weren't home 5 minutes and i downloaded the album from I-Tunes.
Dave thought the beginning was good - but then it was just too much...(he's not a fan of musicals). He did love the running theme though that no one knew who this girls dad was....and kept saying, she could just go to Mary and find out!![]()
