Superbowl Menu?

Anyone having a party? We are, and last year I had so much extra food. Is anyone willing to share their menu?

We are going to DH's friends house but we went there last year and they just had the typical appetizers piggie in blanket, pizza rolls, meatballs, etc... Also chips, pretzels, dips.... They made hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings too.

We go to a friend's place, but the usual fare is 2 pies (pizza), a veggie platter, various dips, and something that our friend makes that he calls 'shrimp muffins.' It's some kind of baby shrimp in cheese sauce on English muffins. I don't' care for them, but others eat it up. I'd say there are usually about 15 people that show up. The finger food normally is just right.

'man food' even if there are women present; hey we know menus are usually for us anyway-one time they get a say.

A friend of our s hosts one every year. Usually has a range of this stuff...

-hot wings(and milder ones)
-quesdaillas (they have a pninni press so its QUICK and easy)
-turkey nachos ( ground turkey and then all the nachos fixings including sides of guacamole and sour cream)
-mozzarella sticks
-different kinds of potato chips and dip
-Spinach dip
-Some kind of hero thats cut up
-chicken fingers (for the kids)

All of these are excellent suggestions (and now I'm starving...thanks girls lol) but I have to be true to my name and add the dessert section!! Finger desserts are also a must. Gotta have an assortment of COOKIES and brownies and that kind of thing. As much as I love baking, for occasions like the super bowl when I know there will be a lot of big eating machines around, I like to pick up packages of cookies from costco or the supermarket - the big, giant chocolate chip kind.

Re: Superbowl Menu?

I really like brownies with mint in them-we buy those little green package mints? forget the name. But you break em up and throw them into the batter. Those go over really well with most people unless they have an adversion to mint. BUT its a safe alternative to nut brownies. I myself have a nut allergy which sint too severe but makes me more concientious when I cook-I never cook anything with nust for company unless I know all their allergies beforehand.
